The album features a brand new Christmas song called “Christmas Comes Every Day” and 9 other seasonal classics.
The band hails from Springdale and consists of Newfoundland music industry veteran Clint Curtis on guitars/vocals and Steve Clarke on drums. The band produced the album in their namesake studio and made this the first release of their record label Sevenview Records.
“For many years now I’ve wanted to record a Christmas album,” said Clint Curtis, “and this year seemed like just the right time to do it. We released the digital-only single ‘Christmas Comes Every Day’ last year and had very good response so we felt that releasing that song along with a full set of holiday classics would really expand on that success.” “We love the Christmas season”, said Steve Clarke, “but have always felt that the spirit of Christmas can be carried all year by living in a mode of love and giving. This is where the title song came from.” “We hope that ‘Christmas Comes Every Day’ will be added to our fans’ list of Christmas classics!” added Clint.
In addition to the title single “Christmas Comes Every Day” the album includes upbeat renditions of “Angels We Have Heard On High”, “Joy To The World” and “O Come All Ye Faithful”. A Springsteen-esque “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen” is followed by a clever take on “We Three Kings” that really puts the listener in the shoes of the song’s travellers. Add in a pensive version of “Jingle Bells”, and “O Come All Ye Faithful”, “O Holy Night” and “Silent Night” faithfully rendered. The album ends with an emotional instrumental rendition of “What Child Is This?”
